Student homework will be posted in Google Classroom when it is assigned.
Homework will not be assigned for primary students in the K-3rd grade classrooms.
Students will have the opportunity to make up missing work. Students will have until the next class to make up any missing assignments.

Grading Scale
First Grade and Second Grade: 100% of the graded work is classroom assignments. Classroom assignments include participation in class which is measured by completion of classwork, collaboration and cooperation in group work, completion of on-line activities, exit tickets and other measurable activities.
Third through Fifth Grade: 70% of the graded work is classroom assignments (see above). 30 % the grade is based on assessments. Assessments are broken down to 10% quizzes and 20% test grades.
Sixth through Eighth Grade: 60% of the graded work is classroom assignments (see above). 40% of the grade is based on assessments. Assessments are broken down to 15% quizzes and 25% test grades.

Classroom Expectations
Students are expected to be respectful to each other in our class community. They are expected to do their best work. We will be working on key skills in this class: collaboration, communication, perseverance an being problem solvers. Key to success is being open and willing to keep at a problem and learning to work at it from multiple directions and perspectives.
